Conor McGregor potential return to the UFC…

GSP mentioned that considering his achievements in the Octagon, it’s appropriate for him to share his expertise with aspiring athletes and individuals seeking to stay fit through the study of Muay Thai.

“I recall wanting to transform as a child,” St-Pierre remarked. “As I gazed at myself in the mirror, I wasn’t pleased with what I saw, but I recognized the potential to alter my surroundings. I harbored a dream of becoming a different person, and martial arts, particularly karate, provided me with an avenue to break free. It played a crucial role in building the confidence needed to carry myself in a different manner.

GSP faced bullying in school, an experience that compelled him to learn self-defense and develop mental resilience. He emphasized the importance of understanding the implications of any passion project, martial art, or life dream before making impulsive decisions.

“I would advise you to close your eyes and sincerely ask yourself whether it’s something you genuinely want to pursue. Consider if it aligns with your own desires, not those of your parents, coach, or friends,” GSP advised. “Embarking on this journey is challenging, and the initial step is determining if it’s genuinely the path you want to take in your life.”

Regarding contemporary MMA fighters, GSP noted that the evolution of the sport goes beyond mere physical combat. Unlike those who engage in trash-talking, GSP, known for prioritizing respect, did not adopt such tactics.

“I believe it’s the influence of Conor McGregor,” GSP remarked. “Conor made significant contributions to the sport, elevating its visibility to unprecedented heights. However, to truly captivate an audience, it’s crucial to remain true to oneself because any lack of authenticity becomes apparent. Conor succeeded because he was authentic, but many others who are not genuine do not fare well in that regard.”

Concerning a potential comeback to the UFC, St-Pierre, who maintained an undefeated record from mid-2007 onwards, is satisfied with staying retired.

“It’s just speculation,” St-Pierre commented on the possibility of returning to MMA. “I haven’t received any fight offers, and I have no intention of making a comeback to mixed martial arts. I had plans to participate in a grappling competition, but a recent injury has forced me to put that on hold.”

St-Pierre’s most recent bout took place in November 2017 when he secured a victory over Michael Bisping, earning a title in a different weight division.

What are your opinions on George St-Pierre’s decision to retire? Do you believe he should reconsider making a comeback to the UFC?
