Kyle Jamieson has been sidelined from the upcoming test matches…

Kyle Jamieson‘s cricketing endeavors are halted until at least the next summer following scans uncovering a fresh stress fracture in his back.

The scans conducted after the initial Test against South Africa revealed a recurrence of injury in the same area where Jamieson underwent surgery last year.

Although surgery isn’t on the table this time, he will need a rest and rehabilitation phase to facilitate healing. Despite the setback, Jamieson remains resolute in his desire to make a comeback to the field.

“I’ve faced some of my toughest days recently, but I’m deeply appreciative of the support I’ve received from my partner, family, teammates, support staff, and medical experts,” he expressed.

“Being aware that injuries are an inherent part of a cricketer’s life, and considering my age, I remain optimistic that I still have numerous playing days ahead of me.”

Gary Stead, the coach of New Zealand, expressed empathy for Jamieson, stating, “We all feel for Kyle deeply. We’ve witnessed the immense effort he’s invested in returning to international cricket, so hearing about this setback is truly disheartening for everyone involved, players and support staff alike.”
