LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers remains the favored pick for the New York Giants at No. 6 according to our weekly Giants mock draft tracker.
This week, Nabers was the selection in 24 out of 54 mock drafts, accounting for 44.4% of the selections. Following closely behind is Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, who maintained his position as the second choice among mock drafters.
It’s evident that there’s a consensus among draft analysts that the Giants should prioritize adding a wide receiver in the first round. Odunze was projected in 11 mock drafts, representing 20.4% of the selections.
Additionally, Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt received attention in seven mock drafts, reflecting the belief among some analysts that the Giants need to address their struggling offensive line with their top pick.
A minority of mock drafters, six in total, foresee the Giants selecting a quarterback. LSU’s Jayden Daniels was chosen in three mock drafts, Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy in two, and North Carolina’s Drake Maye in one.
As the NFL Scouting Combine unfolds this week, it’s expected that evaluations of certain players will evolve. It remains to be seen in the following weeks how these developments might influence the outcomes of our mock drafts.
