JUSTIN: Lsu are on the verge of landing a five star prospects as reported by the insider…

The coaching staff of LSU football has dedicated extensive effort in recent weeks to get ready for the upcoming weekend’s guests.

Under the leadership of Brian Kelly, the team has organized yet another remarkable Junior Day gathering, inviting a selection of highly sought-after prospects to join the Bayou Bengals.

Beginning Friday, recruits will journey to Baton Rouge for the event on Saturday. This presents them with the opportunity to observe a spring football practice and gain insight into the program’s essence.

LSU is set to welcome a remarkable lineup of five-star talent, including Bryce Underwood, Dakorien Moore, and Harlem Berry, along with DJ Pickett and Caleb Cunningham, who are also highly regarded prospects making their way to Baton Rouge.

Among the notable visitors listed in “The Visitors List 2.0”:

– DJ Pickett: Ranked as the top cornerback in the nation, he previously visited “The Boot” to experience Death Valley’s atmosphere last month and is now planning a return trip to LSU.

Having experienced the essence of LSU during his initial visit, Pickett has now confirmed a follow-up trip scheduled for March 8.

As the top priority on Corey Raymond’s recruitment list, Pickett’s return presents the program with another opportunity to pursue this highly sought-after prospect.

Having risen through the recruiting rankings in recent months, Pickett’s focus remains on LSU, Georgia, Miami, Florida, Florida State, and Oregon.

He has now confirmed plans for an unofficial visit in the spring, with LSU being the first stop on his schedule.

The buzz surrounding Pickett’s inaugural visit to the South last month:

Corey Raymond Taking the Lead

Despite his tenure on staff lasting just over a month, Raymond is making significant strides on the recruiting front.

During his previous coaching tenure at LSU from 2012 to 2021, Raymond mentored seven players who achieved first-team All-America status and guided four players to first-round selections in the NFL Draft. Additionally, he coached five players who were picked in the second round of the NFL Draft and oversaw Grant Delpit, the recipient of the 2019 Jim Thorpe Award.

Raymond, a former standout defensive back for the Tigers who subsequently played six seasons in the NFL.

“Corey’s commitment to LSU and our aspiration to develop the top defensive back group in the nation was palpable,” remarked Kelly after Raymond’s appointment. “His extensive expertise and track record in recruiting make him an invaluable addition to our already formidable defensive coaching team.”

Now, Raymond has had the chance to host the No. 1 defensive back in America, as Pickett embarked on his inaugural unofficial visit to Baton Rouge.

During his time with the Florida Gators, Pickett maintained communication with Raymond. Now, back at LSU, Raymond’s influence on Pickett is evident. The impact Corey Raymond has had on the Tigers is clear, as LSU secured a commitment from Jaboree Antoine, the seventh-ranked cornerback in the nation, last month while restructuring its secondary.

Furthermore, during a visit last month, LSU warmly welcomed Pickett with members of the Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class also meeting him, demonstrating the program’s dedication to its future prospects.

The primary recruiter for the 2025 class, highly-rated linebacker Keylan Moses, ensured he connected with Pickett before his departure. According to sources from LSU Country, the two engaged in a photoshoot, discussed upcoming plans, and more.

In addition to Moses’s visit, 2024 signees DaShawn McBryde and Joel Rogers also joined Pickett during his visit. The three safeties took photos together, and McBryde and Rogers presented their persuasive pitch to Pickett.

Following a promising initial trip to Baton Rouge, the Tigers are confident they rank among Pickett’s preferred choices, potentially even holding the top spot.

Bryce Underwood: Top-Ranked Quarterback in the Nation

In January, LSU’s football program caused a stir nationwide by securing a commitment from Bryce Underwood, the number one player in the nation.

Since then, the Tigers have sustained momentum, bolstering their 2025 class, with Underwood leading the pack as the standout recruit.

Brian Kelly and his team are intensifying their efforts to recruit the top player in the nation, even though he has already committed, making two trips to Michigan since his commitment to LSU.

Now, the LSU coaching staff will host the top player in the country for another visit to campus in Baton Rouge.

Underwood, ranked as the top quarterback in the nation, is scheduled to visit Baton Rouge this weekend, as confirmed by sources to LSU Country. The news was first reported by Shea Dixon of On3.

This weekend marks a significant event for the program, with numerous highly sought-after targets and committed players scheduled to visit.

Underwood will be among those visiting, along with several wide receivers the program is actively pursuing, notably five-star recruit Caleb Cunningham from Mississippi.

Here are two wide receivers to watch closely after confirming their spring visits:

The weekend of March 8th is emerging as a pivotal period for the program. LSU is set to welcome numerous top prospects from both the 2025 and 2026 recruiting cycles.

On March 8th and 9th, Brian Kelly and his team will host a group of highly sought-after prospects, with one priority wide receiver confirming his visit.

Sources indicate that Caleb Cunningham, ranked as the second-best wide receiver in the nation, has confirmed his intention to visit Baton Rouge, as reported by LSU Country.

The highly-rated athlete from Mississippi, boasting a five-star rating, will be accompanied by several top recruits from across the country as he returns to Louisiana. Cunningham had a satisfying game day experience during his previous visit last autumn, and now he’s gearing up for another one this spring. LSU kicks off its spring football activities on March 5, leveraging this opportunity effectively in their recruiting endeavors.
