Breaking News: Green Bay Packers have secured the services of a 29-year-old linebacker…

In Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Green Bay Packers have strengthened their special teams unit by renewing the contract of linebacker Eric Wilson.

Aged 29, Wilson recorded 13 special teams tackles in 2022 and an additional 11 in the previous year, leading the Packers in both seasons. Additionally, he amassed 24 tackles on defense during the last season.

He played a pivotal role by recovering a crucial fumble towards the end of his teammate Keisean Nixon’s 73-yard punt return in the Packers’ 24-21 defeat against San Francisco in the NFC divisional playoff.

Before joining the Green Bay Packers, Wilson had stints with the Minnesota Vikings (2017-2020), Philadelphia Eagles (2021), and Houston Texans (2021).

He initially entered the league as an undrafted free agent signed by the Minnesota Vikings out of Cincinnati. The Packers acquired him from the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad in October 2022.
