Breaking News: Emma Raducanu’s comeback is officially confirmed…

Emma Raducanu is in good physical condition and prepared to make her comeback for Great Britain in the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup tie in France. Despite her victory at the 2021 US Open, her world ranking has fallen to No. 300 as she has only won five matches in five events this season.

Last month, she withdrew from the Miami Open due to a lower back injury. “I’ve been dealing with lower back discomfort, and given the current stage of my comeback to competition, I’m hesitant to take any unnecessary risks,” Raducanu stated.

I made every effort to prepare myself, and it saddens me to withdraw from Miami, as it’s a fantastic tournament. However, I extend my best wishes to the event,” said Raducanu. Nonetheless, the 21-year-old has resumed training on clay at the National Tennis Centre ahead of the tie near Boulogne scheduled for April 12-13.

Following this, the former world No.10 has an opportunity to swiftly ascend the rankings, beginning with the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. This tournament marks her return to the circuit after undergoing surgeries on her wrists and ankle, with Stuttgart being the last event she competed in last year.
