The Las Vegas Raiders announced the signing of guard Cody Whitehair on Monday.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 316 pounds, the offensive lineman is coming to the Raiders after an eight-year stint with the Bears from 2016 to 2023. Whitehair was initially drafted by Chicago in the second round (56th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Throughout his professional career, Whitehair has played in 124 games, starting 118 of them across different positions on the line: 61 at center, 54 at left guard, and three at right guard. He kicked off his career with a streak of 71 consecutive regular season starts and earned spots on the 2016 PFWA All-Rookie team and the 2018 Pro Bowl.
Originally from Kearney, Nebraska, Whitehair had a distinguished collegiate career at Kansas State from 2012 to 2015. He was recognized as an All-Big 12 player four times and started 51 out of 52 games, including 41 in a row. His time at Kansas State saw the team achieve a 34-18 record, win a Big 12 Championship in 2012, and make four consecutive bowl game appearances.
