A Michigan native, Fiske played a crucial role in Florida State’s undefeated regular season, which relied heavily on talent from the transfer portal. After five years at Western Michigan, he transferred to Florida State as a significant addition. Upon arrival, Fiske swiftly secured a starting position during the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season and excelled, achieving career highs in various defensive categories with the Broncos two years later. These highlights included 58 total tackles, 12.0 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 pass deflections. Assuming a full-time starting role in Tallahassee, Fiske continued to demonstrate his prowess, tallying nine tackles for loss and six sacks, earning him second-team All-ACC recognition.
Fiske’s skill set seems ready for the NFL. With ideal size and quickness, he often dominates matchups, primarily using club moves and bull rushes. Although he could diversify his pass-rush techniques, his reliability and drive should secure him significant playing time as a rookie.
