Titans Target Former First-Round QB to Replace Levis.

The Tennessee Titans are now in Year 2 with Will Levis as their starting quarterback, and the season is off to a rough start. Currently 0-3, Levis has faced criticism for multiple mistakes, including a game-losing interception against the Bears in Week 1 and a fumble in Week 2 that left offensive coordinator Brian Callahan frustrated. If his struggles continue, Levis may not remain part of the Titans’ future plans.

With the trade deadline approaching, the Titans could consider making moves despite not being contenders this year. Kristopher Knox from Bleacher Report suggests that the Titans might look to acquire former number one overall pick Bryce Young.

Young, selected first in the 2023 NFL Draft, has had a tough time in his first two seasons, culminating in being benched by Panthers head coach Dave Canales during a recent game. This has led to speculation about his availability in a trade, and Knox believes the Titans could be a fitting destination for the former Heisman Trophy winner, especially if Levis continues to falter.

However, acquiring Young may not make much sense for the Titans. Despite Levis’s current difficulties, trading for a player perceived as a potential draft bust seems illogical. If the Titans finish with a poor record, they might prefer to use a high draft pick to select a new quarterback rather than bringing in Young, who has struggled in Carolina. Ultimately, it seems more prudent for the Titans to evaluate Levis’s progress before considering a trade for Young.
