Jack Darling, a forward for the West Coast, has officially joined North Melbourne after a trade with the Eagles was completed on Monday.

The Kangaroos sent Pick 67 to the West Coast in exchange for Darling. Darling North Melbourne is currently the most experienced player as of the 2025 campaign.

Darling made his AFL debut in 2011 and has since participated in 298 games, appearing in over 20 games every season for 12 seasons—the last four of which he spent with the Eagles. At thirty-two, he is anticipated to offer much-needed support for Roos forward Nick Larkey, who has struggled to find help in Alastair Clarkson‘s attacking lineup for the previous two seasons.

Just behind Josh Kennedy, Darling’s premiership teammate, as the second-highest goalkicker on the West Coast with 532 goals in his career.

North Melbourne now has Picks 2, 25, 43, and 61 for the upcoming AFL Draft, while West Coast now has Picks 3, 26, 62, and 67 as a result of this trade. West Coast is in negotiations with Hawthorn to enable the transfer of defender Tom Barrass to Victoria, and North Melbourne is also seeking to add Sydney veteran Luke Parker.
