The Knicks’ PR department announced that Boo Buie had signed an Exhibit 10 contract.

After going undrafted in June, Buie was expected to sign a similar contract with the Suns, but that agreement never went through. He played in five Summer League games for Phoenix, averaging 21.1 minutes, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 rebounds per game in addition to 9.0 points.

Standing at 6’2″, Buie is a two-time All-Big Ten guard who scored a total of 2,187 points over five seasons at Northwestern. In the 2023/24 season, he achieved a career-high average of 19.0 points per game, shooting.438 from the field,.434 from three-point range, and.858 from the free-throw line. In 34 games, he set career highs in assists (5.0), rebounds (3.3), and steals (1.4).

Prior to the start of the regular season, exhibit 10 contracts have the option to become two-way agreements, though they are not guaranteed. Buie may be eligible for a bonus of up to $77.5K provided he is waived and plays for the G League‘s Westchester Knicks for at least 60 days.
