The recently delisted 21-year-old seems to have a number of possible suitors. Three AFL teams are reportedly interested in Jack Carroll, a former Carlton midfielder, after he left the Blues.
While teammates Matt Carroll and Sam Durdin have been offered training opportunities to potentially prolong their careers, Carroll was one of three players released by the team. Carroll was delisted after playing in 15 games this season, nine of which he was substituted in or out of.
Despite having moments at the senior level and displaying promising form in the VFL, Carroll found it difficult to establish a steady position in the starting lineup, even when other midfielders were injured. He is still a serious contender for an AFL roster in 2025, though, and might be able to find a new opportunity in the draft or delisted free agency.
The West Australian claims that Carroll will probably get another opportunity because West Coast, Fremantle, and GWS have all shown interest in him. Carroll has been connected to West Coast all season long as they look at unsigned local talent.
In 2025, Carroll might have the chance to assume a senior role at GWS given the recent departures of players like Harry Perryman and James Peatling.
