Breaking News: Rabbitohs’ star player ruled out for the season due to injury…

The South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow may face a prolonged absence for the rest of the season due to a rotator cuff injury sustained in Round 1.

This development could pose a substantial setback for the Rabbitohs, as reported by News Corp. If surgery is deemed necessary for the injury sustained during the match against the Manly Sea Eagles in Las Vegas, Arrow could be sidelined for the entire season.

Although the extent of his injury is still awaiting confirmation, it is anticipated that he will be out for a minimum of four weeks, representing the best-case scenario.

Arrow’s setback compounds the injury troubles for the club, as centre Campbell Graham has already been sidelined for an extended duration due to a sternum injury.

Winger Tyrone Munro is also sidelined until at least Round 5 as he recuperates from a knee injury.

Regarding Graham’s condition, Demetriou told News Corp before their Round 1 match, “The level of discomfort he was experiencing was remarkable. With any bone injury, the priority is to facilitate healing.”

He continued, “Specialists explored the possibility of using an infusion injection to accelerate healing, but to assess its efficacy, we needed to allow eight to 10 weeks to observe any improvements.”

“And indeed, there was progress. Campbell was training notably better than he was towards the end of the previous season.”

“However, we had to make a critical decision about whether he could endure a full season and be in a better physical and mental state compared to last year.”

“Ultimately, the answer was likely negative. Given the physical demands of his position, it’s a stark reminder of the challenges these players face.”
