Recently, in a light-hearted manner during a media interaction, new Falcons coach Raheem Morris quipped about his disdain for the Saints. He jokingly recalled a long-standing animosity towards the Saints, dating back to the tenure of Sean Payton, and even teased about his supposed aversion towards Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.
Morris, however, quickly clarified the jest, emphasizing the enjoyable nature of the rivalry and ultimately dismissing any genuine animosity towards the Saints.

Ever since the departure of Matt Ryan and Drew Brees from their respective teams, the matchups between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints have lacked some of their former spark.
However, with the addition of Kirk Cousins as a legitimate starting quarterback for the Falcons, there’s a notable resurgence of optimism and excitement surrounding the franchise, unlike in previous seasons. There’s a newfound sense of belief and positivity permeating the Falcons organization.
