Breaking News: New England Patriots are scheduled to meet with a top QB prospect on Monday…

The New England Patriots are set to hold discussions with a premier quarterback prospect on Monday, marking a significant move for the team as they navigate a transitional period following the departure of quarterback Mac Jones and head coach Bill Belichick.

With the NFL franchise entering a new phase, they aim to identify a promising young quarterback to anchor their future endeavors. Benefitting from the No. 3 overall pick in the forthcoming 2024 NFL Draft, the Patriots have an advantageous position to secure one of the top quarterback talents from a notably strong draft class.

While the New England Patriots are unlikely to have the opportunity to draft Caleb Williams from the University of Southern California, who is expected to be selected as the top overall pick by the Chicago Bears, they will still have the chance to consider Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, or J.J. McCarthy with the third overall pick.

With this advantageous position, the Patriots are arranging a visit with Daniels next week, as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network via Around The NFL.

The current recipient of the Heisman Trophy is widely regarded as one of the most skilled quarterbacks in this draft class and a potential cornerstone for a franchise, aligning with the Patriots’ objectives for the future.

In addition to considering Daniels, the Patriots are arranging a visit with Maye, despite the possibility of the Washington Commanders selecting him with the second overall pick.

The Commanders are also aiming to acquire a young quarterback through the draft as they embark on a rebuilding phase, similar to the Patriots’ pursuit.
