Breaking News: Capitals have reassigned two players back to Hershey…

On Saturday, the Washington Capitals reassigned Matthew Phillips and Hunter Shepard back to the Hershey Bears.

Neither player saw game time for the Capitals during their recent tenure with the team. Phillips was brought up when TJ Oshie was absent for the team’s consecutive matches against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes. Shepard was called up after Darcy Kuemper got injured during practice earlier in the week.

Meanwhile, the Bears are currently engaged in back-to-back games against the Wild in Iowa. In their Friday match, Ethen Frank scored a hat trick in the Bears’ 7-2 triumph. Tonight, the two teams will conclude their season series at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
