The Atlanta Falcons have signed free agent defensive lineman James Smith-Williams, as confirmed by the team on Wednesday.
Williams, 26, previously played four seasons with Washington after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft from North Carolina State.
In 2023, he recorded 22 tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, and eight quarterback hits across 13 games, including seven starts, with the Commanders. Over his career, Williams has amassed 85 tackles, seven sacks, 14 tackles for loss, and 31 quarterback hits in 55 games, 27 of which he started.
