Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams played together on the Las Vegas Raiders for two seasons. Despite the team not making the postseason in either year, both Jacobs and Adams were named first-team All-Pros in 2022, demonstrating their capability of being among the best at their respective positions.
However, they are no longer teammates since Jacobs signed a four-year, $48 million contract with the Green Bay Packers this past offseason. Meanwhile, Adams remains under contract with the Raiders through 2026.
Josh Jacobs made significant efforts to recruit Davante Adams back to the Green Bay Packers.
Despite Adams publicly stating he doesn’t want to be traded from Vegas, others, like Jacobs, have still attempted to recruit the six-time Pro Bowl receiver.
On Wednesday, Jacobs remarked that the Packers’ current receiving corps is “crazy,” which led him to text Adams about returning to Green Bay.
Although Adams recently praised Jordan Love’s progress, there seems to be no indication of him being any closer to leaving the Raiders. Even if he were, it’s likely there are other quarterbacks he’d prefer to reunite with first. One possibility is in New York, where Aaron Rodgers has influence, and another is in New Orleans, where his former college teammate Derek Carr leads the Saints.
