The Kansas City Chiefs have bolstered their receiving corps with the familiar face of wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Hardman, who spent part of last season with the New York Jets, has officially re-signed with the Chiefs on a one-year deal.
Hardman initially arrived in Kansas City as a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and quickly became a valuable contributor. His speed and explosiveness made him a deep threat, and he also proved his versatility as a kickoff and punt returner.
“We’re excited to have Mecole back,” said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. “He brings good energy to the team, and he’s a dynamic playmaker on offense and special teams. We look forward to seeing him back in a Chiefs uniform.”
Strengthening the Wide Receiver Room:
Hardman’s return joins a revamped receiving corps in Kansas City. The Chiefs have added first-round pick Xavier Worthy and free-agent Marquise Brown alongside incumbents JuJu Smith-Schuster and Skyy Moore. This revamped group offers Patrick Mahomes a variety of weapons to utilize in his high-powered offense..
