Breaking News: Two Detroit Lions players have achieved notable recognition…

The Detroit Lions have recently improved, leading to a natural increase in their popularity both in and out of Detroit. This popularity boost has resulted in a higher volume of Lions merchandise sales, including items featuring prominent players’ names or likenesses, such as jerseys.

On Monday, the NFLPA released its list of the top 50 NFL players by merchandise sales from March 1, 2023, to February 29, 2024. The categories included, according to the release, are “trading cards, men’s, women’s, and youth game jerseys, T-shirts and hoodies, backpacks, wall decals, pennants, collectible figurines, matted and framed photos, bobbleheads, plush, drinkware, pet products, and many more.”

This ranking was based on sales reported by over 85 NFLPA licensees, including Fanatics, Outerstuff, Nike, Fathead, FOCO, and Funko.

The top of the list features familiar names (Jalen Hurts at No. 1, Jason Kelce at No. 2, Patrick Mahomes at No. 3, Travis Kelce at No. 4), while the bottom (Mac Jones at No. 50) is somewhat surprising. Completing the top 10 are 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons, and Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
