The Washington Nationals have made several roster moves, including activating right-handed pitcher Jordan Weems from the 15-day injured list and recalling shortstop Jose Tena from Triple-A Rochester. To make room for these changes, the team has optioned third baseman Trey Lipscomb and right-hander Joan Adon to Rochester.

Jordan Weems has been out since July 26 due to shin splints. This season, he has a 1-1 record with a 6.59 ERA in 40 relief appearances. Over his career, spanning five seasons with the Oakland Athletics, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Nationals, Weems has a 6-4 record with a 5.23 ERA in 139 relief outings.

Jordan Weems eyeing longer stay with Nationals

Jose Tena, who was acquired from the Cleveland Guardians on July 29 in exchange for outfielder Lane Thomas, has been recalled from Triple-A. Tena, who is 23 years old, has played in 21 MLB games over the past two seasons and has a .200 batting average.

Trey Lipscomb made his MLB debut on March 30 and has since appeared in 58 games, batting .207 with one home run and 10 RBIs.

Joan Adon has appeared in six games this season, including one start, and has a 6.48 ERA.
