Reds: Luke Maile cannot stay on the roster for much longer

At 33, Maile is a Northern Kentucky native who has spent the last two seasons with his hometown Reds during his nine-year Major League career.

He has considered the possibility of managing in the future.

“It’s something I’ve thought about down the line,” he shared. “I’ve always aimed to still be catching at 40. That’s been my goal since I was drafted. I have a family now with three kids, and my wife has been incredibly supportive throughout my playing career, which feels like it’s gone on forever.”
