Knicks Continue: Veteran Forward Cut Following KAT Trade.

The New York Knicks have made another major move this offseason by acquiring All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns from the Minnesota Timberwolves. While the trade isn’t finalized yet and details are still being ironed out, the Knicks are preparing for the possibility of adding more players to the deal.

To create space on their roster, they announced the release of veteran forward Marcus Morris Sr., who had just signed an Exhibit 9 contract to compete for a spot. With increased depth at center, the team decided they no longer needed him.

Morris, a seasoned player, could attract interest from other teams looking for a veteran presence, especially after averaging 11 points and four rebounds last season. Additionally, the Knicks also released Chuma Okeke, further opening up roster spots as they await potential additions from the Timberwolves.
