Fringe players Cooper Vickery departing the Swans have not made their AFL debuts in the red and white, with injuries affecting the fringe players.
Vickery joined the Swans through the 2022 AFL Draft, coming from Hawthorn‘s Next Generation Academy and the Gippsland Power. He participated in 27 VFL games during his two seasons with Sydney.
Leon Cameron, the football manager for Sydney, said, “We have to make very difficult decisions at this time of year, and this season is no exception.”
“Cooper, Harry, and Jaiden have each made valuable contributions to the Swans in their own unique ways, and we are truly thankful for their dedication since joining the club.
“On behalf of everyone at the Sydney Swans, I wish all three the best in their future endeavors.”
These departures add to the exit of Sam Reid (retirement), while veteran Luke Parker is expected to move to North Melbourne following a trade request this week.
