The New England Patriots announced today that they have signed LB Keshawn Banks (pronounced KEY-shawn) to their practice squad.

At 24 years old, Banks entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers after graduating from San Diego State on May 1, 2023. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 255 pounds, he spent the entire 2023 season on the Packers’ practice squad. Banks was promoted to the active roster for the NFC Divisional playoff game against San Francisco on January 20, 2024, where he made his NFL debut with limited playing time on defense and special teams. He participated in training camp with Green Bay this summer but was released before the regular season began.
