The Miami Open, a Masters tournament on both the men’s and women’s tours, is set to commence in a little over two weeks from March 17 to 31. Organizers have revealed the initial wildcard entries.
Kei Nishikori, Caroline Wozniacki, Venus Williams, and Emma Raducanu are among the fortunate recipients of wildcards.
At the age of 43, Venus Williams recently revealed on her YouTube channel her desire to compete in Miami. This aspiration will come to fruition for the player who reached the final in Miami in 2010. Meanwhile, Kei Nishikori, a finalist at the US Open in 2014, is set to make his return to the courts.
The Japanese player has been absent from competitive play since July 2023, following a quarterfinal defeat at the Atlanta tournament to Taylor Fritz.
The remaining wildcards for the singles, doubles, and qualifying draws will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks.
