Breaking News: Yankees infielder is set to miss 6 to 8 weeks of action due to a shoulder injury…

Oswaldo Peraza, an infielder for the New York Yankees, will be sidelined at the start of the season due to a right shoulder strain, potentially keeping him out for the next 6-8 weeks.

The 23-year-old Peraza had already experienced setbacks from this injury during spring training. Despite briefly returning to play two games, a subsequent MRI revealed further damage to his shoulder. Peraza, who is capable of playing second base, third base, and shortstop, debuted in the major leagues in 2022, where he showcased a batting average of .306 alongside one home run and two RBIs across 18 games. However, his performance dipped last season, with a batting average of just .191, along with two home runs and 14 RBIs in 52 games.
